New York Knicks vs Indiana Pacers Game 6 East Finals

The Indiana Pacers clinched their NBA Finals berth with a commanding 125-108 win over the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. From the tip-off, the Pacers set an aggressive pace, pushing the tempo and applying relentless defensive pressure that disrupted New York’s rhythm.

Pascal Siakam was the standout performer, leading Indiana with 31 points on efficient shooting, including multiple timely three-pointers that helped the Pacers maintain a double-digit lead for much of the game. His presence in the post and mid-range kept the Knicks’ defense stretched and off balance.

Tyrese Haliburton orchestrated the offense masterfully, finishing with 21 points and 13 assists. His court vision was evident, finding open teammates in transition and controlling the tempo with smart decision-making. Haliburton’s ability to penetrate and dish out created multiple high-percentage scoring opportunities for Indiana.

Defensively, the Indiana Pacers disrupted the Knicks’ flow with aggressive ball pressure and quick rotations. Andrew Nembhard’s hustle on defense stood out—he recorded six steals and frequently forced turnovers, contributing to Indiana outscoring New York 34-13 on points off turnovers.

The Knicks fought back intermittently, led by OG Anunoby, who put up a team-high 24 points with a combination of sharp shooting and tough drives to the basket. Karl-Anthony Towns was dominant on the boards and inside scoring, posting 22 points and 14 rebounds, while Jalen Brunson added 19 points and 7 assists, trying to keep New York in striking distance.

However, New York’s uncharacteristic 18 turnovers proved costly. Each mistake was swiftly punished by the Pacers’ transition offense, allowing Indiana to extend their lead. The Knicks made some runs, particularly in the third quarter, but could never fully close the gap against the Pacers’ balanced attack.

The victory secured the Pacers’ first trip to the NBA Finals since 2000, where they will face the Oklahoma City Thunder. The New York Knicks, meanwhile, will regroup after a tough season that showcased promise but ultimately fell short in the playoffs.

This game was a clear example of Indiana’s ability to execute under pressure, combining offensive efficiency with tenacious defense to take control and close out the series on the road.
