Golden Warriors vs Houston Rockets Game 7 Playoffs

In a thrilling conclusion to their first-round series, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets 103–89 in Game 7 at the Toyota Center, advancing to the Western Conference semifinals. Despite the Rockets’ valiant effort to rally from a 3–1 series deficit, they were ultimately undone by cold shooting and the Warriors’ playoff experience. Buddy Hield delivered a standout performance for Golden State, scoring 33 points and tying the NBA record for most three-pointers in a Game 7 by hitting 9 of 11 attempts.

Stephen Curry contributed significantly, adding 22 points—14 in the decisive fourth quarter—along with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green also made key contributions, scoring 20 and 16 points respectively. For Houston Rockets, Amen Thompson led with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Alperen Şengün recorded a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. However, the team struggled offensively, shooting just 40.5% from the field and 33.3% from beyond the arc. Notably, Jalen Green had a subdued performance, scoring only eight points on 3-of-8 shooting. This victory marks the Warriors’ fifth playoff series win over the Rockets since 2015 and makes them the seventh No. 7 seed in NBA history to reach the conference semifinals. They will face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next round.
